What does it mean if a cat rolls around alot?
She rolls arounds alot, especially on this new fake-fur carpet. Why? She loves to roll around especially if me or my boyfriend are around.
It means that she is scratching herself and wants your attention. My two cats do it a lot.
Have you had your cat spayed?
If not then she could be in heat as female cats become more affectionate, roll around and meow alot when they are in heat. Has she been spraying in places around the house?
On the other hand, she could just be comfortable and enjoying rolling around on your fake fur carpet

Some cats like to roll around on things, it feels good to them and it’s okay. My cat used to go outside part of the time and he would roll around on the hot concrete or the wood on the deck. I think he was warming himself or scratching an itch. I read somewhere that cats have the most sensitive touch, second only to humans. Sounds like you got a nice carpet and she likes how it feels! Sometimes they kind of like to show-off a little in front of people. Mine used to do that and it was so funny. Enjoy your kitty!

We had the same problem with our kitten, has the been fixed yet? They tend to get more affectionate while in heat. Try calling your vet once the cat stops. If she has been fixed, it could be an attention thing, try inviting her onto the couch to watch T.V, with you.
