How to get that shiny look on top of oven baked rolls?

I have a recipe for some great dinner rolls. Does anyone know how to get that shiny look on top when they brown?

Yes. You rub the white of and egg on with a brush ( cooking paint like brush and leave it for a few minutes more in the oven.

  1. Milk, just brush it on. The sugar in the milk will carmelize. Butter can also work and on sweet rolls you can use a sugar and water mixture.

  5. an egg wash. you use an egg, with a teaspoon of milk or water mixed in. only using milk will make the tops brown, not get the shiny look you want.

    Uses for egg wash:

    * For coating the top of baked goods, especially pies, to give a shine when baked

  6. Shiny and golden brown?
Egg wash the tops of them before you put them in the oven. Milk will also make them golden without getting too dark, but I believe the egg wash is what you’re looking for.
