I drink a coffee with a double shot of espresso before I work out is this bad?
I usually have a medium sized meal and then the caffeine on top. I never get indigestion in the gym and it makes me feel well you know ready to rock n roll. I weight lift for an hour followed by a half hour of cardio.
Well its good to have a little bit of caffeine to help boost you.. however the only dangerous part of having THAT much caffeine is cardiac arrest <if you have any type of underlying heart issues> and dehydration during intense workouts. I would say for health reasons you need to just cut out the espresso and stick to the cup of coffee. The heart already starts pumping to fast with that much caffeine.. then you go and add workouts on top of it? you are just asking for trouble. Over time, it will put way to much stress on the heart. Then on top of it caffeine dehydrated the body… thus leading to more trouble.

Not only does exercise dehydrate you but so does alcohol. This in turn could be taxing your kidneys during exercise. Why not wind down and relax with the drink after your workouts. Or better yet if you are working out to take care of your body why are you poisoning it with alcohol?

yes, because coffee is addicting and using it daily, you are bound to need it every morning, i suggest natural foods that give you energy or make more time for a little extra rest in your schedule.
