Can you paint roll on bed liner?

We used roll on bed liner for our trailer, I wanted to paint it, but my husband thinks we cannot. It contains acetone. Can we paint over it, it is completely dry, or will the paint just chip right off?

Best thing to do is ask at a paint department or at a paint store. Trust me you can paint anything, I have seen tar been painted to match the finish on a roof, but I cannot recall the type of paint used. That was 5 years ago you can still see the same color on the tar and the color on the shingles has faded.

  2. You most likely used Herculiner, and painting over Herculiner is possible, you’ll ose the anti-slip property and most of the paint will chip or peel off in a short time.
